THE DESIGNER IS A GUEST OF THE GREAT FASHION EVENT “ENSEMBLE”
The designer Michele Miglionico presents his new autumn-winter 2024/25 Haute Couture collection at the second edition of the Great Event dedicated to Italian Haute Couture “Ensemble”.
The initiative promoted by Alessandro Onorato, Councilor for Fashion, Major Events, Tourism and Sport of Rome Capital and by Roberta Angelilli, Vice President – Councilor for Economic Development, Trade, Crafts, Industry, Internalization of the Lazio Region saw nine prestigious maisons of Italian High Fashion as protagonists: Michele Miglionico, Gattinoni, Camillo Bona, Franco Ciambella, Nino Lettieri, Gianni Molaro, Sabrina Persechino, Jamal Taslaq and Gian Paolo Zuccarello.
The evening was presented by Eleonora Daniele, a well-known face of Rai1, and saw the partecipation of Patty Pravo as guest of honor.
On the catwalk, the designer Michele Miglionico presented a collection that searches for the essential through a summary of alchemical symbols, magic formulas, small spells where suddenly the invisible appears visible.
These elements, narrated by Ernesto de Martino in the immediate post-war period in Italy, have characterized the popular tradition where superstition was present in the Lucanian peasant life with its propitiatory rites.
In total 10 pieces with simple and rigorously Couture volumes that are divided between day, cocktail and evening.
The volumes are well calibrated according to expert sartorial cuts. The hems of the skirts are below the knee almost midi, the cabans are wide and doubled in crisp taffeta while for the evening muslin and silk georgette are combined with gold-colored lurex.
The use of wool lace, made with ancient looms by the expert hands of local artisans, highlights all the intensity of the Lucanian land.
Particular attention was given to the “double” workmanship.
A collection that combines the stylistic codes of the designer with the aesthetics and tradition of the Lucanian territory’s costume.
The models’ image was curated by Sergio Valente for hairstyling and by Simone Belli for make-up, while the direction was entrusted to Mazzini Eventi Production, institutional relations to Antonio Falanga & Grazia Marino (Spazio Margutta) and the press office to Barbara Manto & Partners.
