Australian World Music Star Mitch Tambo has released new original song Out in the Country from his upcoming children’s album I Am Me, due for release on June 26.

Inspired by Mitch’s rural upbringing, Out in the Country is a high-energy celebration of country life, culture and connection to place. With references to motorbikes, rope swings, rivers and Australian wildlife, the track captures the fun, freedom and adventure of growing up in the bush.
Packed with up-tempo line-dancing energy, the song is designed to get children, families and communities singing and dancing together.
“I’m a long-time country music fan, and this song is all about celebrating country life, dancing with your mates and having a good old-fashioned yee-haw moment,” said Mitch.
“Get your cowboy hat on and your boots ready.”
Out in the Country offers a taste of what listeners can expect from I Am Me, a vibrant collection of songs created for children and families after almost three years of Mitch touring schools and community events across Australia performing to more than 100,000 children.
Blending contemporary pop, dance and hip-hop influences with Gamilaraay language and First Nations storytelling, the album celebrates identity, confidence, culture, community and imagination.
Known for his powerful voice and infectious energy, Mitch has become one of Australia’s most recognisable performers, appearing at major national events including including the Australian Open, New Annual, Vision Splendid Festival, Expo 2020 Dubai, NRL Indigenous All Stars.
