Moda, the ultimate fashion destination at Spring Fair, has reported record-breaking orders and exhibitors experiencing their best trade show for years, with brands who participated in the Moda Catwalk seeing an immediate increase in orders.

Hundreds of new season’s collections and must-have looks from womenswear, accessory, jewellery, and footwear designers and brands are being showcased over four days at the NEC Birmingham with retailers including Pamela Shiffer, Gormley Shoes, Lovely Looks, J Shoes, Goody2Shoes, Houstons Footwear, GASP, Russells of Omagh, Cordners, Boardwalk, Charles Ager Ltd, Greenes Shoes, Donaghy’s, Anthony Ryan, Charles Ashley, The Rose Hanger, Hamish Munro, Wilkies, McElhinneys Department Store, Maddie & Marks, House of Bruar, Hoopers, Twinkle Toes, Hoggs of Fife, Snapdragon, MGO Leisurewear, The Children’s Shoe Company, Precious Soles, and many more, in attendance.

There was a fantastic buzz in the footwear section with quality buyers looking for premium price points and new stores adding footwear into their offer. Mike Wilde, UK Sales Agent for Spanish brands, XTI and Carmela said; “We have had a very positive first two days at Moda Footwear and have seen a high number of new customers as well as gathering a lot of follow-up appointments too. The quality of the buyer we have seen has been excellent, they are at a much higher level wanting to buy at more premium price points across our XTL, Carmela and Refresh brands. Boutiques are putting more footwear into their stores, and having been starved for 2 years they are looking for new product and are delighted to be able to meet in person and see the collections. We came to the show looking for new outlets for our collections and we are meeting them here.”

Jayley had a record breaking first day at Spring Fair and generated a huge amount of new business following their Catwalk showcases, and Perfection Clothing said; “We have had the best best day in 10 years of being with Moda, we want to thank the team for being so amazing, and plan to come back bigger and better next year.”

Debuting at the show to network and for brand awareness, Henrietta Stefenson Copenhagen said: “We simply wanted to use the show to network and be visible in the fashion community, not really with a focus on orders, but on the first day had 4 great orders with brand new shops.”

The Jewellery & Watch Edit has been equally busy reporting a fabulous event. Perfection Jewellery said: “The other brands who did not attend have missed out and I will be telling them in the industry!” Leslie Donn reported; “I have had a really good show, I have seen all my loyal customers. I have supported the show for 50 years and so glad that it is back.” Lucy Lee from Scream Pretty said: “Met lots of new customers and returning customers, thrilled as always with the response from Moda at Spring Fair.”

Chris Lewis Silver said: “I had set a target for my second day, and smashed it at 2pm.” First time exhibitor Sobo & Co added: “It’s the busiest trade show I have attended in years, lots of new accounts, amazed for my first year at the show. I will definitely be back next year.”

Lindsey Straughton, Head of Communication and Industry Liaison, NAJ, summed up her experience of the show: “It’s been a very busy day on the NAJ stand, we’ve signed up new members, people have been very interested in the educational courses, the NAJ summit and our awards. The new move, new halls, leads to new fashion opportunities.”
