In a bold and soul-baring move, Parisian designer Steven Passaro unveils Moonlit Lover, his Spring/Summer 2026 collection—a cinematic confession cloaked in fabric. Far from a conventional love story, this evocative line explores the darker, more complex terrains of human connection: secret affairs, haunted longings, and emotions that linger like shadows at dawn.
“This is not a love story. It’s a confession,” declares Passaro.
Drawing from a deeply personal memory in the Scottish Highlands, the collection fuses poetic vulnerability with subversive structure. Kilt-inspired tailoring, delicate embroidery, and twisted cords suggest a love entangled with pain—each thread telling a story of intimacy that both binds and bruises.
Embodying what Passaro calls “the kind of love that happens after midnight and disappears before the light,” Moonlit Lover paints a portrait of hidden desire through fractured silhouettes, undone seams, and fabrics that whisper rather than shout. Light satins and sheer layers contrast sharply with sculpted forms, echoing the tension between softness and control.
Garments appear to recall a touch that lingered too long, a goodbye that never came, a kiss that shouldn’t have happened. Thorns embroidered onto garments creep gently yet deliberately—beauty laced with danger, delicacy with defiance.
This is fashion as emotional narrative.
A Vision Beyond the Runway
Since launching his label in 2020, Steven Passaro—a graduate of the London College of Fashion—has challenged menswear with emotionally intelligent design and a deep commitment to sustainability. With roots in Parisian couture and a vision shaped by icons like Helmut Lang, McQueen, and Miyake, Passaro uses 3D technology and gender-neutral forms to express modern tenderness in wearable art.
Moonlit Lover is not only an aesthetic experience but a philosophical one, revealing a designer unafraid to explore the edges of vulnerability.
