After Marrakech and Tangier, Morocco Fashion Week continued its itinerant journey with a stop in Taza on November 29, offering the city a unique opportunity to firmly establish itself on the national cultural map. A historic crossroads between the Rif and the Middle Atlas, Taza stands out for the richness of its identity, the depth of its history, and the distinctiveness of its craftsmanship. Hosting this edition in such a territory represents a meaningful initiative aimed at highlighting a living heritage and revealing the creative potential of a region still little explored by major cultural events.
A Showcase of Excellence for Moroccan Fashion Creation
The event was marked by the presentation of highly elegant caftan collections by three Moroccan designers whose work embodies both artisanal excellence and the diversity of regional know-how.

A native of Taza, Sahar Saleh paid tribute to her local heritage by integrating ancestral techniques into her creations and collaborating closely with the artisans of the city, thus helping to promote a cultural legacy deeply rooted in the region.
Caftan by Maha, created by a designer from Fez—considered the cultural and historical “sister” of Taza—presented sophisticated pieces that reflect the great textile tradition of Fez, while harmoniously dialoguing with the spirit of the host region.

Lastly, Amina Benzekri Benrahal, originally from Meknes and a well-known name in the world of Moroccan caftans both nationally and internationally, unveiled creations that fully express the mastery of an emblematic sartorial art, elevated by craftsmanship recognized throughout the Kingdom.
Each of them succeeded in reinterpreting Moroccan textile heritage with elegance, blending meticulous craftwork, noble materials, and modern lines. Their creations offered the public a refined journey into the heart of Moroccan tradition, showcasing the vitality of a fashion scene firmly rooted in its history while looking toward the future.
An Event Made Possible Thanks to Strong Institutional Commitment
The success of this Morocco Fashion Week stop in Taza is the result of exemplary institutional mobilization. The event was made possible thanks to the commitment of the Grand Taza Association for Development, which organized the first edition of the Taza Festival under the theme “L’Haity, Memory and Living Art.” This initiative was carried out in close collaboration with the Municipality of Taza, the Ministry of Culture, Communication and Youth, and the Ministry of the Interior of the Kingdom of Morocco, reflecting a shared desire to support creation, enhance heritage, and energize the region.
A Decisive Step for the Cultural Attractiveness of the Region
Beyond its artistic dimension, this edition represents a pivotal moment for the cultural influence of Taza. It helps strengthen the visibility of the territory, encourage the emergence of new talents, and consolidate a dynamic of cooperation between local actors, public institutions, and the national fashion and creative ecosystem. Through this milestone, Morocco Fashion Week reaffirms its ambition to be a driver of cultural development and a vector for showcasing Morocco’s richness in all its diversity and authenticity.
