Produced by Jamie Ward (renowned for his work with Warner, Sony, Superball, UNFD), ‘Don’t Pull Up’ is another fine example of the band’s blend of Punk and Rock tendencies while retaining infectious Indie-Pop melodies. The track’s urgent vocal delivery drips with emotional intensity, matching the driving backdrop of gritty guitars, punchy drums, and grounding bass. The band perfectly captures the energy of their live shows while retaining a sense of musicality.
Speaking about the track, the band explains: “Don’t Pull Up is a straightforward head-bop anthem, saturated with attitude. The verses carry mischievous energy through a chest-punching bassline and provocative vocals, as the chorus explodes into a seismic release of soaring guitars with an electrifying presence.
The song was written in an evening of heightened emotion following the abrupt and unexpected departure of one of our band members. In the midst of the chaos, the looming question of ‘what now?’ injected passion and authenticity into the track, cementing the message as well as the connection between us – that no matter the hurdle, we can still write music that sonically and lyrically represents us.”
Having secured radio play across the likes of BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders – Future Artist of the week and interview, BBC Introducing Rock w/ Alyx Holycombe), Kerrang Radio (Alex Baker – Fresh Blood), Radio X, and Triple J, the band is no stranger to success on a national level. With heaps of Spotify and Apple Music Editorial playlist placements, the band has amassed over 2 million streams on Spotify alone to date.
Touring with the likes of Acres and playing festivals including Dot to Dot, Festiville and Misery Loves Company Festival, the band continues to grow and build anticipation for the coming months, with much more new material on the horizon.
