With the arrival of spring, the food and beverage team at Sopwell House has created a new menu to see in the season. The new menu, which launches on 21 March 2018, showcases fresh and seasonal ingredients to celebrate everything spring has to offer.
The Restaurant, Sopwell House’s elegant 2AA Rosette restaurant, has created a range of dining options including a new set lunch, à la carte, tasting and Sunday lunch menus.
The à la carte menu features classic British produce with dishes including Confit sea trout with crème fraîche, compressed cucumber, cucumber gel and dill; Garden pea risotto with braised baby gem and pea shoots; and Rump of salt marsh lamb with aubergine caviar, courgette, tomato and basil jus.
For additional indulgence, The Restaurant’s seven-course tasting menu encompasses canapés, an amuse bouche, a starter of artichoke poivrade, a fish course of sea trout, a main course of rump of lamb, a pre-dessert of lemon meringue and a dessert of rhubarb cheesecake. The menu is available for £49.50 per person and guests can opt for a specialist wine pairing for £30.
Sunday lunch, priced at £27 per person, includes Roast sirloin of Angus beef and Roast leg of lamb served with seasonal vegetables, Yorkshire puddings and red wine jus. A great value set lunch menu is also available for £19.50 for two courses and £23 for three courses.
Sopwell House also offers a range of relaxed dining options in The Brasserie, the Conservatory, the Cocktail Lounge and Room Service. Dishes include salads, sandwiches & wraps and grilled dishes.
