The founders of Nominal London may not have hailed from fashion schools, but their passion lies in developing a “stand out” style, creating statement pieces, using innovative materials and styling those in a way that teaches everyone to emphasize personality in their looks. The founders ‘backgrounds are as diverse as their personalities, but they embarked on this journey with a strong common dream. Through their work, Nominal aims to inspire others to chase their passions fearlessly.

Collection: ‘The Nominal School of Defiance’

“The Nominal School of Defiance” collection draws inspiration from the cultural diversity and individual expression of London, seamlessly mixing influences from subcultures such as punk and kink brought together to create the most interesting school uniform. Expect unconventional silhouettes, bold features, and looks mixing leather with cotton, linen and 3D-printed latex.

Taking many inspirations from a shade of grey typically seen in the UK’s private school uniforms we have `Nominalised’ these traditional silhouettes, to create something new and different. London’s 1980s punk scene was the inspiration behind our use of leather and studded leather pieces. Conversely, London’s famous contemporary kink scene inspired our 3D latex pieces and shibari knotted accessories. 3D latex, an innovative fabric, where latex is intricately 3D printed in beautiful patterns on mesh fabric, is new to the fashion market. The addition of some more t-shirts, summer knits, waistbelts, and wrist & ear cuffs is intended to widen this offering allowing for more creative styling options.
