London’s Notting Hill carnival is the largest carnival in Europe, with around one million revellers attending the west London event each year. It occurs annually on the last weekend of August, including the summer bank holiday. The carnival, which has been taking place since 1966, celebrates London’s Caribbean communities, their culture and traditions. It takes places over two days and features a parade and fantastic live music, including reggae, dub and salsa.
Kelly Rajpaulsingh is the genius behind the Bacchanalia Masband of Notting hill carnival. Her imaginative and detailed costumes always deliver each year they are presented at the carnival and this year Bacchanalia presented their Alpha and Anka collection.
Beauty Editor Kitty Noofah and her team have been providing makeup and hair for Bacchanalia MasBand for a number of years.
