An artist has struck gold with a range of Royal Wedding merchandise that features the wrong ginger prince alongside Meghan Markle.

Londoner Lucy Bryant launched a commemorative plate with the face of pop royalty Ed Sheeran in place of Prince Harry, and the rush to snap them up caused her website to crash THREE TIMES in the 24 hours after they went live.

And it seems the people of Britain are ready to welcome the Shape of You singer into the Royal Family, as she has now sold out three separate runs of the plates and has been rushing to complete orders ever since.

Lucy says her inbox has been flooded with messages telling her about the mistake, but admits that it was actually a spoof based on a genuine piece of merchandise she bought when Prince William married Kate Middleton six years ago.
She says: “My grandparents loved collecting royal mugs and plates and they passed their passion on to me.
“When the last Royal Wedding happened, I came across an incredible piece of memorabilia that had been made in China.

“They’d obviously rushed these mugs out of the factory without realising that they’d put Harry’s face on it instead of his brother’s.

“That mug takes pride of place on my mantelpiece now, and I decided that as Harry had taken the credit for his brother’s wedding six years ago, it was only fair that someone else took his place this time around.

“And who better than Ed Sheeran?”

The plates are available for a limited time online at www.hausoflucy.com.
