Olivia Black presented her Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Wish You Were Here, during London Fashion Week, delivering a romantic and uplifting exploration of escapism, nostalgia and those perfect summer moments we wish we could experience all over again.
Presented at Andaz Liverpool Street, the London-based designer’s SS27 collection captured the warmth and freedom of remembered summers, transforming personal memories into a contemporary wardrobe filled with colour, movement and effortless femininity.
At the heart of Wish You Were Here is the idea of being transported somewhere special: a golden summer, an unforgettable place or simply one of those fleeting moments you never wanted to end. Rather than treating nostalgia literally, Olivia Black translated that feeling into clothing designed for the present.
The collection moved confidently between elevated tailoring, denim and relaxed separates, alongside floaty silhouettes and occasionwear. Sheer layering brought lightness and sensuality to the looks, while statement pieces gave the collection a sense of celebration — clothes made not only to be seen, but to be lived in.
Colour played an important role throughout SS27. Soft blues and lime green were joined by bright orange, coral red and butter yellow, while navy denim, pinstripes and deeper evening shades carried the collection from sun-filled daytime dressing into summer nights.
Floral imagery provided a fitting backdrop to the presentation, with wild poppies and delicate botanical installations echoing the collection’s central theme of memories in bloom: vivid and beautiful, but inevitably fleeting.
Olivia Black’s established design identity remained visible throughout. Deadstock fabrics continue to form part of the designer’s wider approach, while fluid, gender-inclusive dressing allowed pieces to move naturally across womenswear and menswear. Rather than rigidly separating the two, SS27 focused on silhouette, feeling and the personality of the wearer.
There was ultimately an optimism running through Wish You Were Here. The collection celebrated dressing up, being present and creating the sort of memories that, one day, we might find ourselves longing to revisit.
For Spring/Summer 2027, Olivia Black offered a wardrobe for exactly those moments — romantic, joyful and touched with the unmistakable feeling of summer.
