The UK’s one and only LGBT Pink Oktoberfest will take place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park stadium.

Taking place on Sunday 7 October 4-11pm, the event promises all the usual authentic German beers, food, oompah bands and crooning, but with an added camp twist. Drag kings and queens will entertain the crowds inside the huge Bavarian Bierhaus with fairground rides and stalls to continue the fun outside.

Thousands are expected to attend dressed in their lederhosen and dirndl with many enjoying the glitter beards and face painting on offer.

Speaking about the event, founder of Pink Oktoberfest, Rebecca Paisis said: “Hosting the event at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is going to be epic. As we head in to Autumn, we’re gearing up for the biggest LGBT+ Oktoberfest the UK has ever seen.

“We’re going to mix that authentic Oktoberfest atmosphere with an LGBT+ twist so expect drag acts alongside German oompah bands and more glitter than you can shake a pretzel at!”

Pink Oktoberfest is a special themed event as part of the German managed erdinger Oktoberfest season and ran for the first time in 2017.
