2019 has been a big year for the fashion industry, and we’re only half way through. The overarching topic of sustainability is hard to escape and more retailers are pledging to adopt sustainable practices in years to come.


At the G7 summit at Paris ‘Sustainability in fashion’ has been a hot topic as leading global garment manufacturers have committed to achieving practical objectives together in three areas: climate, biodiversity and oceans.

It was prominent in the London Fashion Week, where the designer used sustainable methods and materials to create their collections.

Couturier and luxury designer Omar Mansoor who’s been lobbying for sustainable and against unethical practices used in the production of fast fashion addressed this issue through his Spring/Summer 2020 collection at London Fashion Week. Using royal blue to represent the oceans and green for forests.

These designs are manufactured using in London ethical practices and fabrics are sourced from fair trade sources. the show took place at Fashion London
