Like London, Paris and Milan Fashion Week, the event that celebrates oriental haute couture will return to the web from January 24 to 28, 2021, with the first digital oriental fashion week

Due to the pandemic, the fashion industry is reinventing itself and changing its habits. It’s time for innovation and the Oriental Fashion Show will be no exception to this new rule.

The event, which usually crisscrosses the world, from stopover to stopover, in order to retrace the mixed history of oriental fashion and highlight an often unrecognized heritage, this time will explore the field of the virtual in order to better apprehend the future.

For its second online edition and for its 36th edition, the event reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding the traditional Moroccan costume by investing this time in the majestic city of Fez for filming for the presentation of the collections. Spring/Summer during the Parisian haute couture week.

The shoots took place in partnership with the Vichy Thermalia Moulay Yacoub hotel, with its elegant and refined architecture at the same time, Riad Des Nass Zmane, a setting worthy of the Thousand and One Nights, Hotel Sahrai, overlooking the historic city of Fez whose architectural lines are both classic and modern, Château Roslane in the heart of a wine estate combining excellence with nature and the sweetness of life.

A new experience where the art of oriental fashion blends with the splendors of Moorish and modern architecture.

By going digital, the Oriental Fashion Show is part of an avant-garde, accessible to all and eco-responsible approach aimed at putting the designer at the center of a reflection on the renewal of fashion but also of fashion week.

To experience the highlights of the next digital edition of the Oriental Fashion Show, meet up from January 24 to 28, 2021 on the event’s social networks.

THE ORIENTAL FASHION SHOW: THE GENESIS

Flagship event of the association “Silk Road and Al Andalus”, whose primary goal is to promote an art of living, a know-how forming part of a universal heritage, the OFS was created by Hind Joudar in 2004. Based in Paris, this event, which has won its letters as a leader in oriental fashion, travels around the world and fashion hot spots with high media potential: Paris, London, Doha, Kuwait, Marrakech, Moscow, Istanbul, Almaty (Kazakhstan), Samarkand (Uzbekistan), Istanbul…

The Oriental Fashion Show knows no borders and multiplies stopovers in search of a common history. True symbols, the cities chosen by the event around the world are so many strategic relays and paths leading to the development of a new economy, and in this sense a form of social cohesion. A world tour that has lasted for more than 15 years in order to discover, or rediscover, an oriental culture common to several countries that share the same credo: to promote this culture through art and fashion.
