Yoland: A Modern Tribute to Omani Heritage
Representing the Sultanate of Oman, Yoland Fashion House captivated the audience with a collection that seamlessly intertwined Omani heritage with modern elegance. Founded in 2013, the luxury brand is known for its high-end designs that embody the strength and grace of the modern woman.
Designer Sheikha Tufool bint Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Bakhit Al Shanfari presented the second part of the Empire collection, which pays homage to Oman’s rich history, architecture, and artistic craftsmanship. Featuring gold and silver tones with intricate engravings, the collection celebrated the nation’s cultural identity while offering a contemporary touch for today’s fashion-forward women.
Göwher Gouvernet: Bridging Turkmen and French Fashion
Turkmen designer Göwher Pirkulyyeva-Gouvernet, who trained in Paris and St. Petersburg, showcased a collection that masterfully merged Turkmen textile traditions with Parisian sophistication. Having previously presented her work at Paris Fashion Week, Tangier Fashion Week, and Ana Arabia in Riyadh, she continues to champion cultural fusion through fashion.
Göwher’s designs reflect her nomadic heritage and deep appreciation for artistic storytelling, making her pieces a perfect blend of Turkmen craftsmanship and French haute couture techniques. She has also made a name for herself in the world of costume design, dressing classical musicians and working on theatrical productions in France and Turkmenistan.
