There is nothing quite like getting away from it all for a weekend spa break. You can turn your computer off on a Friday afternoon and head down the motorway to your spa resort without a care in the world until Monday morning. You can relax, unwind, and catch up with friends. However, before you can do all that, you have to pack, and knowing what to take with you can be stressful. Read these packing tips for a weekend spa break if you don’t want to spend time worrying about what to take with you.

Clothes

The chances are you are going to spend most of your time in your swimwear and not a lot else. All you really need to do is take your favourite pair of Orlebar Brown trunks and you are good to go. This might take a while as this is a hot designer who specialises in swimwear that you will love and look great in. A good spa will provide the robe and flip flops and you don’t have to dress up or even get dressed for the whole weekend. Don’t make the mistake of packing everything in your wardrobe, as you won’t need any of it.

Toiletries

The spa will probably give you complimentary toiletries so there is no need to worry too much about these. However, as you will be spending a lot of time around products or in the water you might want to take your favourite brand of shampoo and conditioner, and plenty of it too. You don’t want to run out on day two or realise that the spa products are not as compatible with your own hair as you thought. Take something you are familiar with, and that you know works well.

Waterproof Bag

A waterproof bag is necessary if you are planning on taking anything poolside with you. Ideally, you should take a couple as you will probably want to make sure that your swimwear is kept separately from your electronics at some point. It is a good idea to carry a spare bag inside your main one for this.

Reading Material

Once you have had your treatments and gone for a swim, you can enjoy the sun loungers or the spa terrace and chill out with a good book. Bring your favourite reading material or author and you can get stuck into a great read while you relax and enjoy a glass or two of champagne.

Portable Charger

In case you do want to connect with the outside world while you are enjoying your spa break you will need to take a charger. This should connect to your phone, laptop, kindle, and any other electronics you will be taking with you if you want to remain contactable. If not, leave them all at home and take a good old-fashioned paperback to read.

These really are the only five things that you will regret not taking with you for a spa weekend. Take only the bare essentials and you will feel more relaxed as you will be getting away from all the clutter and unnecessary items that you don’t really need in your life.
