On September 29th 2023, Paige Loren Cannon James was voted by the judges as the FAB UK TOP MODEL winner at the Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites & Residences in London.
As one of the youngest contestants at 19 , Paige was born and raised in Liverpool. No stranger to the stage or winning competitions, she’s run for the Liverpool & England Harriers & was a high jump champion as well as walking as a model in London Fashion week…
To get to know Paige a little more we’ve had a Q&A with her ….
- Tell us more about you.
My name is Paige Loren Cannon James,
“I have my own business as a qualified nail technician and I have also just fully qualified in personal training which I love as my favourite thing to do, I love sports and socializing with my friends. When I was younger I took part in the Liverpool Harriers as a sprinter and a high jumper”
- Any catwalk /modelling experience?
“When I was 13 , I won the title Miss Junior British isles I love taking part in pageants! I have walked in London fashion week 2022/23 which was an amazing experience , just to meet designers and models! I was scouted at the Miss England finals 2022 & invited to travel to Vietnam to represent England in Miss Charm 2023 ! This was a once in a life time experience and I am forever grateful to have been able to travel to such an amazing country and meet friends for life. In 2022 , I won the Dentakay Brightest smile Miss England semi final award at the Taj 51 Buckingham Gate which gave me a place in the national final.”
- Does your family support you in these competitions?
“My family could not be any more supportive with my modelling & competitions , they follow me in everything I do. My mum, nan and my auntie Nic came to support me at the FabUK Top Model contest they cheered me on!”
- Tell us about your sporting achievements …
“When I was younger I use to run for the Liverpool & England Harriers . I have won a number of different sporting titles . We used to travel all over the country competing ! I was the city champion for 5-6 years on the run for The high jump and running events”
- Who is your role model and why?
“My role model is my mum because she is the most amazing woman in this world! Mum is my best friend and I would not have come as far as I have in my modelling career if I didn’t have my mum by my side through everything. Mum is the most positive and caring helpful person . My mum also has her own business, she is a hairdresser and personal trainer which is what inspired me recently to do a personal training course.”
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
“In 5 years time I would like to see myself having my own shop doing my nails and beauty. I always dream of being a huge model for amazing designers, I would love to model in more fashion weeks like Paris, Milan, New York… I can only imagine how amazing that experience would be. I really hope winning the FAB UK TOP MODEL title will lead to future modelling opportunities.”
- What are your Likes and Dislikes?
“I like to go for long walks with my dogs and family, I love food and going to nice restaurants . I also love exploring new places and seeing new cities. “
I dislike marmite!
- What is your favourite film, Artist?
“I have 4 favourite films that I absolutely love!
I couldn’t choose between these films ….
- Pretty Woman, * Dream Girls, * Grease * Mamma Mia…
- I love a good musical. My favourite singer of all time is Whitney Houston she was an amazing woman and her voice was just incredible . I wish I got the chance to go to a Whitney concert.”
- Who will be going with you to support you in the Top Model of the World final next Spring?
“My biggest fans – mum, nan, brother, and grandad will be supporting me in Top model of the world final . We are all super excited to continue this amazing experience . Just to travel to a new country , meet more inspiring girls and make more friends for life over there & just experiencing this competition together is already a fantastic opportunity. Thankyou ! ”
Paige will be representing the UK at the Top Model of the World finals next Spring.
