Dublin, Ireland based singer-songwriter Pauric O’ Meara returns with the delicate, intricate and affecting new single ‘Adore’ (November 30th). LISTEN HERE

Pauric O’ Meara ‘Adore’ Released 30th November

Produced by Daniel De Burca (Annah Leah, Post Party, The Drive, Amble), ‘Adore’ showcases Pauric’s tender side with heartfelt, honest songwriting. Opening with a backdrop of spacious guitar strums, subtle strings and swelling processed vocal samples, Pauric’s warming, emotive, effortlessly infectious and pleasingly gravelly vocal takes centre stage.

Growing with a swell of strings, the track bursts into its cinematic, melancholic chorus as Pauric’s vocals soar with a sense of euphoric catharsis. Live drums enter and the instrumentation picks up a sense of energy as the track builds to its climatic final chorus, highlighting the blend of indie, pop and folk elements.

Speaking about the single Pauric explains:
“Adore is a personal heartache that made its way onto paper. It is about how it feels to be loved conditionally, and the fight that we put up to achieve what we deserve. For some, it works out for the better in the long run, for others, it just gets worse until there’s no going back.

When we recorded this single initially, the tension of what the lyrics are portraying were not being felt to its fullest, which was felt by the entire band, as we could all relate to the story. The layers of strings bring this tension to life, and has made this personal song of mine from a story, to a visual and emotional exploration of how it feels to be in such a position.”

This is one of 3 singles being released in coming months, the start of the story. As we all know, these experiences make us stronger and tend to lead to us being happier in our own lives, and this is what the next 2 releases will set out to achieve for the listener. A Journey of how tables can turn, and once you put the best version of yourself out there, it will result in what’s best for you.

Having gained tastemaker support from the likes of Hot Press, GoldenPlec as well as radio play across RTE 2fm, Iradio and TodayFm to name a few, with 3 singles making it into the Irish Breakers Chart, Pauric has established himself as one to watch. Having sold out headline shows across Ireland, in venues such as Whelans, the Grand Social, Dolans and Cyprus Avenue, and the UK in venues such as the Grace in London, Pauric has also opened for a number of established acts on tour including Swim Deep, Red Rum Club, The Royston Club, Hermitage Green and Hudson Taylor and performed at a number of major festivals including Electric Picnic, Sounds of Summer and Kaleidoscope. Having also reached number 5 in the breakers chart with previous releases, Pauric has set himself for a big end to the year with the new single and more new material in the pipeline.

    Upcoming Live Dates:

    Monroes, Galway – December 2nd

    Smiddys @the stables, Westmeath – Dec 23rd
Academy Green Room, Dublin – March 2nd
NHAC, London – March 7th (TBA)
