Radio Rubbish take on bigmouth Trump, with ‘Maga,Maga!’ new release

    PUNK VS TRUMP

Radio Rubbish want to bring Punks across the world together for one final showdown against the big buffoon, with ‘#MAGAMAGA!!’ being the rallying call. Their aim is to stop Trump in his tracks before he gains the Presidency in the forthcoming November election. Radio Rubbish are worried that as soon as Trump takes office, his first move will be to place an international ban on punk. Everyone who uses ‘#MAGAMAGA!!’ along with a lyric from a classic punk song which seems to describe the former President, will have the chance to be a lucky winner of our prize! An American style burger and a personal mention on the sleeve of the Radio Rubbish album, due out this Christmas.

Radio Rubbish is a duo made up of notorious punks Sir Sidney Squacko and Lord Jonny Macko. Sid is from the scrumpied up West Country, Jonny’s from petrolhead Essex. They make a rebel rock racket seasoned with ska, reggae, house, post-punk and funk. They sail the seven seas broadcasting system-smashing sounds 24/7 and 365 days a year from our punk rock pirate radio ship HMS Radio Rubbish. The punk rock ship which airs radio shows can be heard on their website, imagine the movie ‘The Boat That Rocked’ but then move your imagination to a rather rusty, small, graffitied, barely sea worthy punk style version which tends if there is a fair wind to sail no further than ten yards off the boys local coast. In between sailing the not so seven seas the punk duo spend their time, recording, writing and generally being rather angry about the historical demise in the punk genre and ‘Maga Maga’ is one small step in trying to take back control of the once anarchic music messaging. The messaging from the song, relevant as explained to the U.S. election, can be seen as a cousin of The Pistols, ‘God Save The Queen’, or The Beat’s ‘Stand Down Margaret’….

So, if you are Punk in style, thought and attitude then Maga Maga will bring back musical memories of days gone by when angry songs got banned and music mattered and had a message.  Many punks would say those days are now truly in the past especially when classics like The Dead Kennedys ‘Holiday in Cambodia’ could now be a slogan written on the shirts of a North London football team.

So, OK now all together open your windows, shout from the rooftops ‘MAGA MAGA!! THE GUY’S GONE GAGA!!!’ and in between search online, check out the band’s ‘anti social media’ and support the Punk ethic and disrupt the world.
