SAATCHI GALLERY

PRINTS & ORIGINALS GALLERY

29 NOVEMBER 2017 – 7 JANUARY 2018

London, UK – On November 29th 2017 the Saatchi Gallery will open a new exhibition, Revolutions Per Minute in the Prints & Originals Gallery. Nuart have curated the exhibition to celebrate their pioneering and world-leading advocacy of street art since 2001.

Revolutions Per Minute includes an international roster of artists who have participated in the Nuart Festival. The festival has showcased established legends, such as Futura, Martha Cooper and Jamie Reid, as well as newly emerging artists from around the globe and leading Norwegian artists. The exhibition will feature a mix of new original works and limited edition prints.

Revolutions Per Minute is a celebration of street art as it has evolved in the recent past and a showcase for the considerable and diverse talent evident today. The exhibition is also an acknowledgement to the debt owed to movements that came before and, in particular, the musical and artistic cultures built around the 12” single. Each work of art has been created with the dimensions of 12” x 12” (30 x 30cm).

The festival consists of a series of citywide exhibitions, events, performances, interventions, debates & workshops surrounding current trends and movements in street art practice by some of the world’s leading practitioners and emerging names. The artists who attend the festival are among the most acclaimed and progressive public art practitioners in the world.
Nuart is a not for profit organisation run by a small group of idealistic volunteers, vandals and bored arts professionals.
