Mastery should be synonymous with the name ‘ShaoDow’ because that is simply what springs to mind whenever his name is uttered. From years of training in the art of Shaolin Kung Fu, to speaking French and Japanese, he now furthers his pursuit of the music world. Having singlehandedly sold over 25,000 copies of his previous albums and achieved a hit in the Spotify UK Viral Top 50 chart with previous single #DropKickMan, all without a label, he has also toured the UK and Europe and now this manga author and lyrical genius is about to unleash a new single brilliantly titled ‘Kaio-Ken.’
The song is a fresh sounding, reverb-rattling track with lyrical wit, genius and savvy that will certainly blow your mind. Releasing via DiY Gang Entertainment on 06th April, it is produced by Tomek Zyl Music and ShaoDow commands a crisp and determined delivery that stands true to his meticulous and disciplined character.
As the winner of AIM’s 2017 ‘Hardest Working Artist’ award, ShaoDow has also been hailed for his unrelenting application to his craft from rap purveyors such as DJ Semtex. His debut Fire in the Booth on Charlie Sloth’s BBC Radio 1Xtra show was billed as ‘incredible’ by GRM Daily who also described ShaoDow’s freestyle as “something different in a congested scene and definitely refreshing”, whilst on stage he has opened for legends like Stormzy, Skepta, Tech N9ne, Wiley and Akala, appeared at Reading and Leeds festivals and performed across Europe, South America and Asia.
