The French singer Sheila has been an emblematic part of the French music landscape since she started in 1962. In 2022, She is celebrating the 60th anniversary of her career through a nationwide tour and no needs to say she was super energetic yesterday on stage while performing in my city, Nantes, in western France.

A more than 2-hour gig that encompassed her hits from the Yeah-yeah years (the early 60s) to disco hits, including her “Singin’ in the rain » disco cover version took America by storm in the late 70s and her most famous worldwide hit “Spacer” written for her by Nile Rodgers, the famous composer, songwriter and producer, i.e. none other than the co-founder of the legendary worldwide band Chic ! After a six-decade career, one thing which is for sure is how Sheila has remained so energetic when on stage. She also sang « Law of attraction » in New York written by her friend Nile Rogers; There was another song that I like which was « Ooh la la” written by the legendary Keith Olsen who passed away a couple of years ago. The song performed in her mother tongue, “Cheval d’amble, was another emotional song as it is a tribute to the premature death of her son Ludovic in 2017.
Last but not least, the intoxicating “Law of Attraction” was one of the moment during which the crow could not help beating the floors with their feet.

Definitely a great artist!
