The General Election meets punk on Richie Harrison’s single The Rope, set for release 12/09/24

Sick of Hearing Everyone’s Opinions on Everything Richie Harrison is on his New Grunge Punk Single ‘The Rope’.

The Rope is a spit in the face to the commentary around this election. As the singer puts it, “I was reading all the manifestos and I couldn’t decide who to pick… On social you have everyone telling you who to pick, but they all lie. The Rope is about not being able to choose a side.”

The a-political political track shares the artist’s frustrations in true alt-rock track. Feelings manifest in this grungy single led by Harrison’s brooding vocals and churning guitar. The Rope lures in audiences with boppy verses that explode into frenzies of manic guitar, with a strong of sense bubbling beneath the surface throughout.

It will come as no surprise to fans of Richie that The Rope is a way of working through the artist’s feelings. For 20 years, Harrison came in and out of bands but his anxiety prevented him from releasing music of his own. That was until his single ‘The Firing Line’ which released to incredible reviews. Suddenly, music had become a lifeline for Harrison as a way to work through his issues.

The Rope will be available across all platforms 12/09/24.
