Silk Road Fashion London (@silk.road.fashion.london) has held another of its amazing fashion shows. Called “Destiny”, the show aimed to demonstrate designs that lead the way forward in taste and sophistication. As part of London Fashion Week on 16 September, the show was held in the fabulous De Vere Connaught Rooms near Covent Garden. This grand venue provided a large space to accommodate an enthusiastic audience, giving plenty of opportunity to view the designs in detail. Altogether five designers presented their creations.

The show began in dramatic style with the Azerbaijan fashion brand L’ARC (@larccollection) and the new collection, PARLA. Its creative designer Kamilla Babayeva founded the brand in 2019. Her philosophy is based on the impeccable style of a modern, bold and self-confident woman who is not afraid of experimenting with fashion and keeps up with trends or is even sometimes even ahead of them.

The creations of Desire Avenue (@desire_avenue) are the epitome of elegance and sophistication in the world of luxury resort wear and evening wear. The brand has a vision rooted in timeless style and the allure of exotic destinations, this brand takes fashion enthusiasts on a journey of opulence and glamour. Every piece is meticulously crafted to capture the essence of resort living and the allure of evening elegance. From flowing maxi dresses that whisper of balmy summer nights to impeccably tailored evening gowns that exude red-carpet glamour, their collections are a fusion of style and substance.

Inspired by the world’s most exclusive locales, Desire Avenue’s designs are a celebration of luxury, featuring sumptuous fabrics, intricate detailing, and innovative silhouettes. This brand’s commitment to quality, coupled with its passion for fashion, has earned it a coveted place on many runways, such as Milan Fashion Week and Top Model events.

The future of stylish menswear was dramatically demonstrated by Lazaros Tyrekidis and his brand Aristocracy London (@aristocracylondon). He has a passion for stylish suits and a mission is to inspire the modern gentleman to look sharp, unique and suitable attired on every occasion, thanks to limited edition designs and superior craftsmanship. Aristocracy London is worn by many celebrities who want to appear at their best at prestigious events and on television.

The youngest designer in the show came from Kazakhstan. Laal (@laal_genuine) presented her first collection aged only 16 and since then has grown in ambition and style, repeatedly causing a sensation at various venues, fashion shows and exhibitions with her designs inspired by world art culture and history.

Laal combines constructivism and deconstructivism, approaching fashion design as architecture, where she pursues the goal of creating new forms and wearable art from high quality natural materials, introducing cultural trends and symbols into everyday, office, cocktail, evening and even wedding fashion.

Zhumagul Sarieva presented designs for her brand CHAPANSAR (@chapansar). Coming from Kyrgyzstan. Since 2011, she has been breathing new life into traditional nomadic quilted outerwear known as ‘chapans’, celebrating the artistry of quilted outerwear. Her designs focus on the essence of these garments with modern flair, crafting timeless ethnic fashion, building on centuries of nomadic life, blending elegance and practicality. CHAPANSAR also takes ethical issues seriously. It battles overproduction, champions zero waste, and paves the way for sustainable fashion. Further, the studio proudly boasts three UNESCO ‘Quality Mark’ certificates, a testament to their unwavering commitment to excellence.

CHAPANSAR has won international awards and prestigious Grand Prix titles. From Paris to Milan and London, their work has turned heads. Their designs have adorned famous people around the world, such as New York’s Mayor Eric Adams, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Barcelona’s football stars, even young Sheikh Zayed bin Surour Al Nahayan, grandson of the UAE’s founder.
