Spring Fair and Autumn Fair have announced new senior leadership appointments as both events continue to grow and strengthen their position in the UK retail industry.
The appointments reflect the organisers’ long-term strategy to support retailers during a period of economic pressure, changing consumer behaviour and rapid innovation. Spring Fair, Autumn Fair and Glee continue to act as key platforms for product discovery, business connections and commercial growth across the retail sector.
To support the scale and future direction of the UK’s largest trade show, Spring Fair has appointed a dedicated Event Director. Fay Tranter joined the team on 1 December as Event Director of Spring Fair. She brings extensive experience across B2B and B2C events, marketing, sales and leadership, along with a creative background that includes working in London’s West End with Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Spring Fair is currently showing strong momentum. Buyer registrations are running 20% ahead year-on-year, with a 30% increase in new brands, a 10% rise in new exhibitors and a 20% increase in international brands, highlighting the show’s growing appeal across the retail industry.
Jackson Szabo, Portfolio Director, said the appointment reflects the need for dedicated leadership at a time of industry change. He added that Spring Fair plays a vital role in helping retailers find inspiration, insight and trusted connections, and expressed confidence that Fay Tranter’s experience and energy will help deliver even greater value to the sector.
Alongside this, leadership plans have been confirmed for Autumn Fair and Glee following the successful co-location of the two events. Matthew Mein has been appointed Event Director of both shows, ensuring they retain their distinct identities while benefiting from closer strategic alignment.

Autumn Fair and Glee are both currently tracking 20% ahead year-on-year. Glee continues to perform strongly within the garden, leisure and outdoor living sector. Together, the two events recorded an 8% increase in buyers in 2025, with 80% of the combined floorplan already sold for 2026.
Jackson Szabo said the alignment of the two shows creates an opportunity to better support retailers by helping them source products more effectively and build more resilient businesses.
Fay Tranter said she was excited to join Spring Fair at a pivotal moment and looked forward to building on its strong heritage while embracing innovation. Matthew Mein added that bringing Glee and Autumn Fair closer together creates a more connected and impactful experience, with strong growth already secured for future editions.
