From Hip hop, to rock, and across all other music genres, music has always been a popular medium that further expresses ones’ individuality. Music is all-encompassing and allows us to draw inspiration from, provoke thought, ignite change, and speak a language we can all relate to on a humanistic level.
The story of music is as much visual as it sonically – a point of view of familiarity that have ultimately become cultural moments relevant to the sign of the times.
With that in mind, the inspiration for TATRAS’ S/S 21’ tee collection was inspired by the archives of posters, magazines, old album covers, and concert footage with a particular eye on their impact both then and now. Through this lens, I approached designing a collection in the spirit of each artists iconography and a fresh perspective through relevant motifs.
