Located in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside in East Midlands lies the Kettering Park Hotel and Spa, a stunning 4-star venue perfect for a memorable getaway.

I love this hotel, it’s in a very convenient location surrounded by local shopping and lots of restaurants as well the breathtaking countryside views. Arriving at the hotel you are greeted by lovely staff who are more than happy to check you in and who gives off a very warming feel and where it’s a very smooth process before you head off to your bedroom.

The hotel itself has a decadent feel to it but where it’s very well maintained and plush on the interior and where the exterior is just as stunning.

The bedrooms are a very good size and there are a few choices available depending on your budget and how many people you are traveling with. We stayed in a signature family room which contained a double room as well as a sofa bed, and an amazing illuminated bunk bed which is always fun with a little one. If you’re a coffee lover they have a great Lavazza coffee capsule Machine and there are some beautiful toiletries on hand from the White Company for when you are bathing or showering, so luxury is a thing at here the Kettering Park Hotel and Spa.

The towels are great quality and the beds are extremely comfortable and something different that added on brownie points was that the hotel had various pillow types on offer so you can pick a pillow that tends to your needs and enables you to have a perfect nights sleep rather than just making do with what pillows are available.

Some other amenities in the bedroom were the air conditioning, a hairdryer, fluffy soft bathrobes for all guests, an iron, super fast WiFi, a mini refrigerator (which provided very handy when needing somewhere to store baby milk), and more. The room was awfully impressive and extremely luxurious with a homely and comfortable feeling to it. There is great soundproofing in the rooms so it’s very rare to hear much from the outside. What I found delightful was the Daisy The Cow milk machine!!!!! Yes, this is a thing and was so so handy when needing to obtain fresh milk for tea or coffee and importantly for my little one’s bottle. Alongside that is a filtered water machine and these are located on each of the 4 floors.

The hotel has an amazing spa on hand so it’s a great place to stay with your family or with a group of friends and the perfect opportunity to simply unwind and relax, enjoying the spa facilities on offer as well as booking yourself in for some relaxing treatments ranging from massage to foot ritual’s to facials and many more tranquil treatments offer. There are longer-length treatments to purchase but if you are wanting something shorter then you can always explore the taster packages which are 25 heavenly minutes long.
The foot massage and the back massage were the perfect treatments for relaxation and where you were able to just relax and rid any knots or aches. The therapist was brilliant at her job and the room was extremely tranquil and soothing and the heated blankets are a plus. The products are Caudalie and so expect quality from the moment you walk through the doors at this spa and all products are also on hand to purchase at the end of your treatments.

The spa is well worth treating yourself or others to and the hotel has a wide variety of treatments to suit all needs. There are also packages on offer and if treatments are something you aren’t looking for, then be sure to check out the indoor swimming pool, sauna, spa pool, and fully equipped gym to let off some steam and feel great. If you are traveling with little ones, there are designated child swimming times too so you can enjoy precious moments and create more memories. The pool is heated to an enjoyable temperature and where it’s a good size too with comfortable loungers around.

A topic to bring everyone together is great food and drink and the Kettering Park Hotel and Spa has a perfect restaurant to enjoy some delicious cuisine, so whether you are after a light bite or something more substantial then be sure to check out the One Rosette restaurant. The food is high quality and the special factor is that the food is produced using locally sourced ingredients where possible and where the food arrives in good times and where the portions are ones to be proud of. The menu has a very good selection of starters, main courses, and a grill section, not forgetting some cheeky deserts.

The starters are always worth trying and I’d highly recommend the tempura battered prawns and the cheese straws just to wet your appetite but there is a good selection available. Some favourite main course dishes from the menu are the Chicken Kiev which was accompanied with baby new potatoes and a pea puree and their Fish and Chips were humongous, so so fresh and tasty, and served with triple-cooked chips, tartare sauce and minted mushy peas. This dish was easily enough for two people or one very hungry person but a generous portion. There is also a children’s menu available so the little ones can enjoy something scrumptious. Should you have any room left, do check out the deserts, the apple tart with cinnamon ice cream was delicious and so nicely decorated too, and the hotel also locally source many of their food products from around Northamptonshire too.

Overall the stay was perfect, and what a beautiful hotel the Kettering Park Hotel is, well worth a stay and a place that oozes comfort and luxury. The hotel is an ideal wedding venue and the staff was exceptional in their service. There is so much to this hotel that makes it such a memorable stay and one that I would highly recommend to friends and family. It ticked many boxes and just left a pleasant and lasting feeling and one that we would certainly visit again. Comfortable and luxurious at an affordable price is exactly what Kettering Park is about and something for all the family to enjoy. A big thanks for such a lovely stay and for being looked after, the staff was simply wonderful.
