Located in the heart of Oxford Street, a stones throw from Selfridges and down the trendy James Street, lies the perfect place to enjoy lunch or dinner. Ping Pong (at St. Christopher’s Place) is a fabulous Asian restaurant serving the very best in Dim Sum, with the menu containing a large selection of delights to suit all tastes.

The restaurant was very bright and airy, it looked small from the outside but walking inside, you could see there was another seating floor available to dine in.

The staff were very much on hand to assist where required and were also glad to make some handy food recommendations.

Dining on a Sunday and bank holidays never looked so good, this restaurant has the perfect option for those wanting to indulge in food heaven and more so, eating as much dim sum and buns (from a selection) as you can handle. I am of course talking about Ping Pong’s fabulous Lazy Sumday option! Priced at just £25.95 per adult and £11.95 for under 12s, this is a no brainer for anyone who loves this delicious food. Whether you are a meat eater, you love your vegetables or you love a good rice bowl, there is literally something for everyone. The dishes are a good size and come out in good time so despite the restaurant being busy, the kitchen and staff are well aware of their customers and don’t leave you waiting to enjoy the mouth watering array of dishes.
Some favourite dishes of mine are the sui mai, the mushroom and black bean rice bowl and the duck spring rolls which are served with hoisin sauce. I always tend to add some chilli on the side as I do love my spice and adding that little kick of chilli really sends them off, but either way, you are going to love them!

The vegetable bao buns were in fact very tasty and went perfectly with a touch of soy sauce and chilli oil, perfect for those who like a touch of added spice!!!!

The Lazy Sumday had the option to add on alcohol to the deal for a small extra should you wish, but aside from that, the drinks menu is substantial and the restaurant also do a fabulous fresh orange juice, if you are into hot drinks and love tea, I would say to try out the jasmine & lily flowering tea, not only does it taste great but it’s so beautiful to watch (you will see what I mean).

From the Lazy Sumday selection, the dishes are endless should you wish, but know one thing, it will be an experience to remember and you definitely won’t be leaving hungry. It’s certainly what I call ‘an explosion of tastes’ and a restaurant which is highly recommended.

Dining at Ping Pong is fabulous to enjoy with friends, family, work colleagues or even as a bite to eat on your own, with its great atmosphere, delicious and affordable food and a varied menu, it’s one London restaurant to add to your list to check out.
