COME BACK OF THE ORIENTAL FASHION SHOW ON THE FASHION SCENE OF PARIS

For its 41st edition, the Oriental Fashion Show starts the new year by coming back to Paris, on January 23rd, at 4pm, at the Peninsula, after two years of absence on the Parisian scene, but not without having been very active in organizing virtual and live shows beyond the borders.

2021 was also very rich in events for the Oriental Fashion Show, since it is in its wake and in its crossing of the world along the Silk Road that several talented designers have been able to present their work, even if the world of fashion and the handicrafts sector have been very strongly impacted by the pandemic of Covid-19.

The Oriental Fashion Show made stops in several cities around the world: Fez, Marrakech, Istanbul, Dubai, Issyk-Kul (Kyrgyzstan), Milan, Dushanbe (Tajikistan).

It is in the heart of this Parisian palace, whose design and aesthetics celebrate the splendor and beauty of the Orient, that the designers will present their spring/summer 2022 collections. This new edition of the Oriental Fashion Show has been conceived as a hymn to the fusion of genres and identities. Crossroads of cultures, this great meeting intends to highlight the perfect symbiosis that unites in fashion the transpositions of the know-how of the East and the West.

At a time when the misdeeds of cultural appropriation are highlighted, the Oriental Fashion Show advocates more than ever the richness of cultural diversity by celebrating the love of fashion beyond borders.

The quintessence of luxury and glamour, the collections presented on the podium will illustrate the meticulous work of artisans and designers from Egypt, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Uzbekistan and Algeria.
