Tony Baltimore returns with the vibrant new single ‘Define The Blur’ released via Conch Town Records. Showcasing a ska and funk influence to contrast his roots-rock songwriting style, Baltimore delivers a reimagined version of one his most loved tracks.
Packing with the infectious musical ideas, catchy melodies and a funk and ska infused groove, ‘Define The Blur’ showcases another stellar performance from Tony’s live band and is a fine addition to the Florida based artists growing catalogue. A soundscape of biting guitars, swelling organ and vivid brass melodies too the best to create a radiant energy under Tony’s inward searching, thoughtful lyricism and pointed-yet-emotive delivering.
Speaking about the track and his decision to rework it, Tony explains:“It’s not a re-release, rather a reimagining of ‘Define the Blur. It’s the title track of my debut album, I thought it deserved a re-recording to breathe new life into it as it’s one of my more popular songs. I’ve always loved its funk-rock-ska groove, it’s been nice to revisit it in the studio.”
Working with renowned producer Ian Shaw (Portugal. The Man, Barb Jungr) and releasing via Conch Town Records, Baltimore has gained a whole host of press notoriety from the likes of Earmilk, RnR Magazine, Clout, Americana Highways and many more. With hundreds of UK and US radio plays, Baltimore’s music has capitalised on both its infectious energy and subtle yet ever present commercial appeal.
Having made a name for himself, playing up to 8 shows a week in the beachside bars and clubs in his home City of Key West (both solo and with a 5 piece band), Tony has a reputation as one of the most hard-working artists on the scene. An artist through and through, Tony has already proved that his dedication to his music and undeniable talent are more than enough to have a hugely successful music career.
