Following its showing in Paris where it became France’s most attended exhibition of all time with over 1.4 million visitors, organisers of TUTANKHAMUN: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh presented by Viking Cruises have extended hours for the opening weeks of the upcoming London exhibit due to high demand and sell-outs.

Produced by the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities and IMG, the exhibition will run from 2 November 2019 – 3 May 2020 at Saatchi Gallery. Visitors will explore the life of King Tutankhamun and the storied discovery that captivated the world, through more than 150 authentic pieces from the tomb – three times the quantity that has travelled in previous exhibitions – more than 60 of which are travelling outside of Egypt for the first time. At the conclusion of the tour, the artefacts will go on permanent display at the Grand Egyptian Museum.

Extended morning and evening session tickets now on sale for November and December 2019 dates include:

    Extended Hours:

    Monday–Wednesday & Sunday: 9.00am – last entry 5.30pm

Thursday and Friday: 9.00am – last entry 8.30pm

    Saturday: 9.00am – last entry 7.30pm

In addition to the extended hours, TUTANKHAMUN: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh will have an exciting programme of ‘lates,’ which in 2019 will take place on the penultimate Friday of November and December. With music and drinks, the lates will provide the opportunity to explore the life of Tutankhamun and his treasures after dark.

TUTANKHAMUN: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh finished its run in Paris on September 22 with a new French exhibition attendance record of 1,423,170 visitors, beating that previously held by the 1967 ‘Tutankhamun and His Times’ exhibition, which drew an audience of 1,240,975.

Lates with TUTANKHAMUN: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh:

    Friday, 22nd November: 6pm – last entry 8.30pm

    Friday 20th December: 6pm – last entry 8.30pm

Lates tickets for TUTANKHAMUN: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh will be the same price as a Standard entry ticket. 2020 Lates dates to be announced.
