A UK-based businesswoman and innovative entrepreneur, Neslihan Bayav, is set to exchange her corporate expertise for the glitz of a beauty pageant at a distinguished international contest next week.

Neslihan Bayav, a dynamic figure who has launched two companies and holds a senior managerial position at one of the world’s largest chocolate brands, will proudly represent Turkey in the Miss Europe Continental competition in Naples, Italy, on November 23.

At 33 years old, Neslihan is not only a qualified industrial engineer but also serves as the European Purchasing Manager for the renowned chocolate manufacturer. She will compete against 54 other contestants in the highly anticipated event.

Neslihan views the competition as a perfect platform to demonstrate that women can excel in leadership roles and pursue their passions with vigor. “Participating in this contest is my way of inspiring women everywhere to chase their dreams and prove that we can achieve anything we set our minds to,” she stated.

She further emphasized, “This event is a fantastic chance to showcase the significant presence of women in technology, challenge societal norms, and highlight the influential roles that strong women play in our society. Representing Turkey in this contest, I also aim to be an ambassador for Birmingham and the West Midlands, inspiring women throughout the region.”

Neslihan’s academic journey is equally impressive. She graduated top of her class from Maltepe University’s Industrial Engineering Department on a full scholarship and immediately embarked on an international career, which eventually brought her to the UK.

She is the visionary behind Byvoria, a women’s underwear brand, and Uvoria, a tech company developing an AI-powered app to promote sustainability and circular economy in the fashion and textile industry. “My businesses focus on pioneering solutions that influence consumer behavior and reduce the environmental footprint of textile waste,” Neslihan explained.

On a significant note, she added, “It’s an honor to represent Turkey on the 100th anniversary of the Republic. Through this contest, I aim to draw attention to critical issues like gender equality, women’s empowerment, and the role of technology in safeguarding our environment.
