Hungryhouse Celebrates Burns Night By Dishing Out Free

Tikka McSalas

To celebrate Burns Night in all its glory – the annual day each year that toasts the life of Scottish poet, Robert Burns – hungryhouse is giving away the ultimate Scottish dish for free – but it’s not what you think.

Word on the street says the classic Chicken Tikka Masala dish was famously ‘invented’ by Glaswegian chef Ali Ahmed Aslam back in the 70s.

Therefore, as a homage to the culinary genius who created the much-loved dish, hungryhouse has renamed the popular dish ‘Tikka McSala’ for one day only – and is dishing out the popular curry to those who can recite a line from a Robert Burns’ poem in celebration of his big day.

Curry fans simply need to tweet the line to @hungryhouse with the hashtag #chickentikkamcsala for a chance to win. Forget haggis this Burns Night, indulge in the tasty curry to make for a true Scottish celebration.

The Chicken Tikka McSalas will be available to order across selected restaurants in Glasgow, Birmingham and London on the 25th January 2018 only.
