Bringing together punching drums, tight overdriven guitar, deep subby bass and subtle synth lines, the track captures a driving sense of energy whilst retaining a sense of emotion and musical depth. Speaking about the track, Totten explains: “‘Control’ is about the conflict of trying to maintain balance in life both personally and in the world. It’s about pausing to consider what the important things really are in life and always trying to find that balance because the alternative is not good.”
