London, UK — Pioneering eco-fashion designers VIN + OMI celebrated their 20th anniversary with a bold showcase titled MOXIE at the Kensington Building, backed by Ashby Capital, as part of London Fashion Week. The show spotlighted the duo’s groundbreaking work in eco-textile innovation, highlighting their commitment to sustainability and ethical practices that have inspired global institutions such as NASA and the United Nations.

Incorporating a mix of past and new garments, the MOXIE collection featured eco-friendly materials like nettles, recycled waste plastic, and fabrics made from mushrooms and recycled milk cartons. The fashion duo’s work emphasizes not only their inventive textile processes but also their unique role as “ideologists,” using fashion to tell stories of their environmental efforts over the past two decades.
“We don’t sell our clothing or textiles. Fashion is just the end of a journey for us each year,” the designers shared, reinforcing their commitment to using fashion as a platform for broader ecological initiatives.
The star-studded show included iconic figures like Jo Wood, Dame Prue Leith, and LA-based actress Josie Stevens, with musical legend Debbie Harry and former First Lady Michelle Obama listed as some of the duo’s long-time collaborators. As VIN + OMI reflected on their journey from “two boys with no plan” to fashion disruptors, the evening was an ode to the moxie it takes to challenge industry norms and drive forward the future of sustainable fashion.
The event, which showcased a blend of art, activism, and avant-garde design, was supported by an impressive list of sponsors, including renowned art material brand Daler-Rowney, herbal liqueur giant Jägermeister, and sustainable beauty leader Philip Martin’s. Additional support came from London’s The Other House, eco-conscious jeweler Nicolas Vavassori, and Helm London, known for their artisanal luxury candles.
VIN + OMI’s show stands as a testament to the transformative potential of fashion, underscoring their eco-friendly ethos while celebrating a 20-year legacy of innovation.
