Cyriaque Griffon tells about the French DJ’s performance and ambience.
The French DJ Vitalic has been on the international scene now for several years. He performed last weekend in Nantes, France for his «Voyager » world tour and I attended the event.
No need to say France can boast artists who have an uncanny ability to use synths and make sound so French. The French electronic music artist has released his 4th full-length album this year and this last « Voyager » album offers trips in the disco beat traditions whose bassline makes feet beat the floor of clubs around the world. They say his 2017 album is a remembrance of the old days of French techno.
Regarding the visual aspect, one thing that I liked; the sober yet very efficient visual show design with lights on a structure coming from the ceiling and moving up and down. Then the music started mesmerizing the crowd till 2 a.m. One thing is for sure; Vitalic definitely takes you on a journey through the middle of the night. I can tell by the way my neighbours couldn’t help moving…
