Celebrate the opening of the West End by attending ‘West End Musical Celebration – Live at the Palace Theatre.’
Now on until Sunday, June 13th, ‘West End Musical Celebration’ is just that – a celebration of the West End. It’s been too long when we all have had a good time in the theatre, and this show gives us exactly that.
An all star cast will entertain you for two hours, singing their hearts out now that they’ve been given the opportunity to get back on stage in a show that is a rescheduled version of the West End Musical Christmas that had to be cancelled late last year. Ben Forster (winner of ITV’s Superstar competition), Alice Fearn (Wicked Come from Away), Sophie Evans (Wicked), Layton Williams (Talking About Jamie), Rachel John (The Bodyguard, Hamilton), Trevor Dion Nicholas (ALadin) & hostest with the mostest (and producer of the show) Shanay Holmes (Rent, Musical Drive In) sing show tunes that will make you forget about the last 15 months. In this lively and feel good show, you will be on your feet dancing to ‘I Want to Dance with Somebody’ after you’ve just been serenaded by a multitude of songs from shows including ‘Frozen,’ ‘Jamie’ and ‘The Prince of Egypt.’
First time producers Holmes and her husband Chris Stewart were given the opportunity to produce this show thanks to the Rising Stars Festival were 23 young theatre producers were given a once-in-lifetime opportunity to present their work in the West End for the first time. 17 productions – plays, musicals, concerts and one-off events – have attracted performers from emerging talent to popular West End stars, and the shows will run from May to September in Nimax Theatre Group’s six theatres (the Apollo, Duchess, Garrick, Lyric, Palace and Vaudeville).
