London’s annual Winter Pride event will transform into a Magical Circus experience which promises to ‘excite, unite and delight’.

Taking place on Saturday 26 January at Scala, King’s Cross, four ‘awe-inspiring’ circus-themed rooms will feature a variety of well-known performers from across the scene. Hosted by John Sizzle, performers include Margo Marshall, Mzz Kimberley, El Conchitas, Misty B, DJ Lady Lola, Neil Prince and many more.

“We’re excited to be back at Scala to bring fun, joy and excitement to what can be a long hard month of January,” said the founder of Winter Pride Rebecca Paisis.

“We’ve got some surprises in store and as ever we encourage fancy dress. Plus you can get in the spirit with circus-themed body makeovers courtesy of Seventa Makeup Academy.”

Your guide to what to expect:

Organisers are promising a Magical Circus ‘spectacle’. We spoke to host John Sizzle who gave us a tour around the four rooms.

“The Big Top room promises show-stopping performances from scene greats Mzz Kimberley and Margo Marshall. Expect tumblers, jugglers and contortionists with dancing all night to queer anthems from DJ’s Michael Kelly (Retro Bar/Douchebag) & Jacob Aria (The Glory) plus many more.

The Freak Showroom is all about “getting your freak on”. Leave your binary at the door and join this writhing festival of freaks with pop-up shows from a host of London’s campy clowns including Baby Lame & Crystal Beth (Mariah & Friends), chuck in a king or two, like Oedipussy Rex, add some pole dancing from Bimini, stir in pop & disco classics and you’ve got some devilishly cheeky party soup happening!

Neil Prince

The Girl’s Arena room hosted by Mint is a place for the ladies to mooch and smooch, pout and mingle. You can dance to the fiercest tunes of the moment and get your groove on.

The Urban Circus room will bring you the sound of the underground. Bump and grind to the RnB sounds of Neil Prince (RnShe/Heaven), scene master Jeffrey Hinton and more. Nicki, Bey, Yessy & Drake, we got it covered baby, just wind up your waist!”

The event takes place at Scala, King’s Cross on Saturday 26 January 9pm-4am. Tickets and more information at winterpride.co.uk.
