12 DROPS OF CHRISTMAS FREE ART GIVEAWAY WORTH £36,000

Zebra One Gallery is putting on a Christmas art treasure hunt worth £36,000 on 16 and 17 December, featuring one-off artworks by celebrated artist Dom Pattinson, who counts A-listers like George Clooney as fans.

Pattinson shot to fame after Clooney bought his work as a wedding gift for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and his exclusive art hunt, titled 12 Drops of Christmas, will consist of 12 carefully hidden paintings.

Each piece is worth £3,000 and a pair makes up the whole image worth £7,000 – pairs will always be hidden near each other in the most unexpected places around the W1 postcode, from changing rooms of department stores to trains, alleyways and famous landmarks.

Pattinson and Zebra One Gallery will be posting cryptic clues about the whereabouts of each art piece to their followers on his Twitter, Instagram and Facebook pages at @zebra1gallery and @artbydom.

The festive art hunt will lead up to the opening of Zebra One Gallery’s exhibition takeover of 54 The Gallery in Mayfair’s Shepherd Market, from 19th-23rd December, where an original canvas worth £8,000 and created specifically for the exhibition by Dom will be up for grabs as a raffle prize.

Zebra One Gallery’s pop up exhibition in Mayfair will feature some of the biggest worldwide artists, including: Dain, Bartosz Beda, Mason Storm, Victor Tkachenko, Lucie Flynn, Dom Pattinson, James Rawson, Kate Garner, Andrew Miller, Keith Ashcroft, Charlie and Eddie Proudfoot, Rebecca Fontaine-Wolf, Emmanuelle Gauthier, Will Landsbury and Dan Pearce.

Gabrielle Du Ploy, managing director of Zebra One Gallery, said: “We wanted to do something fun in a world that’s gone slightly crazy.”

This art hunt follows the success of a string of previous free art campaigns Dom has carried out, which he kicked off in 2014 with fellow artist Sean Sullivan when they stuck original images on walls and bins around Soho in New York.

The art hunt will take place from 12 pm – 5:30 pm on 16th and 17th December, strictly across W1.

Zebra One Gallery’s pop up exhibition at 54 The Gallery in Shepherd Market, Mayfair, will be open from 19th-23rd December. It will be open from 11am-9pm on Tuesday 19th & Thursday 21st, and from 10am-5pm on Wednesday 20th, Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd.
