Ziggy D’Amato returns with the indie sizzler ‘Damages’ (March 24th). The follow up to the rock tinted ‘Tina’s Nite Club’, ‘Damages’ offers another exciting look at the upcoming EP Maya Blue.

Playing all the instruments, self-recording, producing, and mixing, Ziggy is a restless and multi-talented creative with endless musical ideas and a wide range of influences that sees him create expansive, rich and exciting soundscapes. With a head full of pop melodies, three-part harmonies, 60’s girl group backup vocals, 70’s wah-wah guitar solos, and over-the-top 80’s choruses, David “Ziggy” D’Amato has a unique approach to making music which shines across the upcoming EP.
‘Damages’ once again showcases D’Amato’s tight, infectious songwriting, effortlessly impressive guitar playing and ability to craft depthy indie soundscapes adorned by subtle electronics and layers of beautiful vocal harmonies. Comparable to the likes of The Strokes and The Killers whilst retaining his own unique stamp with octave vocals running throughout and a fluorescent sense of freshness and energy.
Speaking about the single, Ziggy Shares:
“’Damages’ is a melancholy evaluation of my twenties. Trying to make sense of myself and how I spend my time. Wondering what it all adds up to, and feeling sad, confused and nostalgic. Ultimately culminating in a celebration of being a tiny speck in the infinity of the human condition. At a loss, gratefully accepting all of the joy and all of the pain.”
Having already gained a range of support across tastemaker press including Earmilk, Glide Magazine and Backseat Mafia, Ziggy D’amato has begun to make a name for himself and is now aiming to take things to the next level with the upcoming EP.
