The 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards were held at the Royal Festival Hall in London on 22 February 2026. The prestigious event brought together leading actors, filmmakers and industry professionals to celebrate the best achievements in film.
This year’s ceremony is hosted by Alan Cumming, who is presenting the awards for the first time. He takes over from last year’s host, David Tennant. Alan Cumming previously hosted the 2025 BAFTA TV Awards.
The film One Battle After Another leads with 14 nominations, including Best Film, Director and Adapted Screenplay. This is the second-highest number of nominations in BAFTA history, following Gandhi, directed by Richard Attenborough, which received 16 nominations in 1983.
The film Sinners earned 13 nominations. Ryan Coogler received nominations for Director and Original Screenplay. Michael B. Jordan earned his first BAFTA nomination for Best Actor, while Manchester-born Wunmi Mosaku was nominated for Best Actress.
During the ceremony, Dame Donna Langley, Chairman of NBCUniversal Entertainment, will be honoured with the BAFTA Fellowship, the organisation’s highest award. Clare Binns, Creative Director of Picturehouse Cinemas, will receive the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award.
