Since its recognition as a city in 1984 with a US first majority gay council, West Hollywood has been advocating for the LGBTQ+ community and ensuring their visibility and expression. As a part of that, the city has celebrated diversity and inclusivity with its very own WeHo Pride for nearly four decades.

This year, 40 days of pride kicks off on 22 May and runs through to 30 June featuring a line up of exciting city wide celebrations. Here are some of the key highlights.
Harvey Milk Day, 22 May

As part of the celebration, catch the third annual José Sarria Drag Pageant, paying tribute to José Julio Sarria, the trailblazing drag performer and political activist who paved the way for LGBTQ+ representation in politics.
