Rome, April 13 — A weekend of elegance, culture, and conviviality set the stage for the official presentation of the Italian board of the Tulips Society, a prestigious international organization known for hosting high-profile social events in the Netherlands and other European countries for several years. The Tulip Societies currently have a pressence in fourteen countries and regions worldwide, covering most of Europe and parts of the United States.

Presidents Princess Olimpia Colonna di Paliano and Donna Elisa Caterina Egger, leading the Orange Tulip and Black Tulip respectively, inaugurated the new Italian board in the presence of Founder and Director Clemens Van Stejin on Saturday, April 11, marking a significant milestone in the Society’s expansion in Italy.

The weekend began with a private guided tour of the historic Galleria at Palazzo Colonna, offering guests an immersive experience in Rome’s artistic and cultural heritage. In the evening, celebrations continued with the “Convivia Romana” gala at the magnificent Palazzo Ruspoli, where approximately 100 guests from across Europe, the United States and Asia were welcomed in a refined and enchanting atmosphere.
Curated with great attention to detail by Olimpia Colonna and Elisa Caterina Egger, the event stood out for its harmonious blend of culture, networking, and conviviality. For the occasion, the two hosts wore creations by Veronica Parwin (Olimpia Colonna) and renowned Milanese couturier Antonio Riva (Elisa Caterina Egger), showcasing the excellence of Italian couture.

Among the distinguished guests were Archduke Seraphin von Habsburg-Lothringen (great great grandchild of Empress Sisi), Honorary President of the Black Tulip Society Italy, and Baron Vincent von Preuschen von und zu Liebenstein, International President of the Black Tulip Society.
Also in attendance were Princess Giacinta Ruspoli, Princess Maria Pia Ruspoli, Carla Alberto Maccan, Francesco Mitrano, Christos Nikolopoulos and his wife Elsa Skarpari, and designer Veronica Parwin.

The celebrations concluded on Sunday, April 13, with an exclusive brunch at the studio of artist Bzarro, marking the end of a memorable weekend dedicated to the launch of the Italian board and the strengthening of the Tulips Society’s international network.
