In a world attid society shaped to make us forget how to feel, to allow us to exist and not to live, we want to share with you what we feel individually towards what it is to lose each other in wars fuelled by hatred and fear. We want to share hope with you tonight by presenting you an extract of the play Children of War where the story of an emotional journey repeats itself 3 times as a symbol of history repeating itself through generations.

Arcola Ala-Turka is one of the UK’s leading Turkish language theatre companies.
Ala-Turka 4s born in 2001 when Artistic Director Mehmet Ergen led a series of workshops with young adult members of the Turkish and Kurdish community. These workShops developed into the first production, A View from the Bridge by Arthur Miller; performed in Turkish and directed by Mehmet Ergen. Since then, Ala-Turka have continued to regularly produce Turkish language productions of both new work and classics.
