Romania was represented by two teams this season at the World Fashion Festival Awards Dubai, which came with big forces and support from makeup artists, hairstylists, brands, models, singers and never the less Miss Universe Ms. Carmina Cotfas.
Grup Romania frumoasa #GoldenRomania by Ms. Simona Simionescu Dinu, Romania’s National Security Strategy in the European context member, a visionary leader in the area of Talent Management, with a background in the media area, currently activating internationally in the area of Talent Development Management, being the promoter of the concept of special events #Romaniafrumoasa.
The Romanian Team under Grup Romania frumoasa #GoldenRomania was represented by a great delegation where we can find the amazing and international designer Ms.Andreea Cormier Wacker.
Andreea Cormier Wacker, Romanian origins but she lived all her life in Germany. Former ballerina and model in Canada and America she started her career as designer, haute couture designer that presented her amazing and unique collection together with her daughter Alys on the WFFA stage, well known and awarded designer such as: Fescina Award in 2020 Naples, European Award “Best Contemporary Design ” Milano Fashion Week, Catwalk of 5 Continents, Red Carpet del Cuore, Geneva 2021 European Award, Best Cocktail Dress.
“When I started my carrier in theatre, at very young age, after cabaret shows I never thought that life can be changed and that I will take a different road, because of my feet injury. As someone told me, God had a plan for all of us! So, i started modeling and keep creating my cloths! Now I am a mother and a designer! I am also a fulfilled woman because of my daughter.
I am that type of designer which keep pursuing my dreams, working hard to bring them to reality!
No one should never give up on anything they love to do! I would like to send Greetings and to
spread the love around to all the fans and people which support me. And to tell them that I will keep trying on working hard to their expectation, I won’t be living in disappointments!
For me fashion is pure art, but style is about love. Everything that is beautiful around us is about what we are creating. Do it with attitude. Make it shine!”
ACW: Beauty…. i guess is that inner sparkle!
What made you take fashion more seriously and make a career out of it?
ACW: Loving beauty, everything comes naturally, every day another challenge, another creation, so you cannot stop to enjoy the soul and smile of the spectators, who do everything! For me “fashion is pure art, but style is about love. Everything that is beautiful around us is about what we are creating
Are you self-taught or did you study fashion design?
ACW: Self-taught! In addition, I love everything that surrounds me. I love with passion everything I do; just as this, I think I can have part of success! Everything what comes from the heart is protect by love!
How has your work evolved since you began your own label?
ACW: A continuous fantasy, a rainbow of emotions, a dream come true, a satisfied work!
Are there any types of clothing that you avoid wearing?
ACW: Not at all! Fashion is freedom to express yourself!
Does your approach differ when designing menswear compared to womenswear?
ACW: Yes indeed! Menswear design I only see it, gentleman style.
How your work is internationally received?
ACW: Internationally is from where I grow, is from where I feed my career with experience and success!
How do influences from outside of your country find their way into your work?
ACW: Life, culture, designs, upbringing of each person is different, especially if you come from other countries around the world. It drives and challenge me and my designs.
What are you fascinated by the moment and how does it feed into your work?
ACW: Avant-garde! Differently than Haute Couture!
What is the biggest lesson that you have learned since you started your company?
ACW: As long you are human, correct, and humble and keep up with good work, everything will continue to come as you offer!
What advice would you give to young designers?
ACW: Never quit! Follow your dream. In addition, learn from what intimidates you!
What would you like to achieve before the end of the year?
ACW: Now, more freedom for all of us! A better World!
Are you superstitious or do you have any rules you live by?
ACW: I respect my schedule! I have a curfew, since I have a daughter!
What is your motto?
ACW: “Do it with attitude. Make it shine!”
You were part of WFFA 2021 SEASON 4, how do you feel about it?
ACW: Amazed, a different experience than all I had before, a different level! How was your experience at WFFA? ACW: A great one, Team Work, building strong and amazing relationships with great value having the opportunity to extend, and show my work Worldwide.
