LONDON, June 2026 — Apple TV has released the official trailer for its upcoming limited series “Lucky,” starring and executive produced by Anya Taylor-Joy. The seven-episode thriller will premiere globally on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, with the first two episodes available at launch, followed by weekly episodes through August 19.
Created by Jonathan Tropper and co-showrun alongside Cassie Pappas, the series is produced by Hello Sunshine, the media company founded by Reese Witherspoon.
Based on the bestselling novel Lucky by Marissa Stapley, the series follows Lucky (Taylor-Joy), a con artist whose life spirals into danger after a multi-million-dollar heist goes wrong. Hunted by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss, she must fight to survive while searching for a way out.
The ensemble cast features acclaimed performers including Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Drew Starkey, Clifton Collins Jr. and William Fichtner.
Produced by Apple Studios and Hello Sunshine, “Lucky” is executive produced by Tropper through Tropper Ink, with Pappas serving as co-showrunner and executive producer. Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter executive produce on behalf of Hello Sunshine, while Taylor-Joy executive produces through her production company, LadyKiller. Pilot director Jonathan van Tulleken also serves as an executive producer.
“Lucky” expands Apple TV’s growing slate of original productions from Hello Sunshine, which includes acclaimed series such as The Morning Show, The Last Thing He Told Me, Truth Be Told and Surface.
The limited series will stream exclusively on Apple TV beginning July 15, 2026.
