Apple TV has released a special preview of episode eight of its genre-blending series Widow’s Bay, ahead of its global premiere on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

The 10-episode series, which launched on April 29, 2026, continues its weekly rollout on Wednesdays, with a scheduled run through June 17. A special two-episode drop was previously released on May 27.
Episode 8: “Your Baggage”
Episode eight, titled “Your Baggage,” teases a darkly ironic premise:
“Don’t worry about misplaced luggage. Old baggage always resurfaces in Widow’s Bay.”
The series follows Mayor Tom Loftis, played by Emmy Award winner Matthew Rhys, as he attempts to revive a struggling island community plagued by superstition, poor connectivity, and rumors of a curse. While Loftis pushes to transform the island into a tourist destination for the sake of his son and the town’s future, the locals remain unconvinced—and unsettling events begin to prove them right.
Genre Blend of Horror and Comedy
Created, showrun, and executive produced by Katie Dippold, and directed in part by Emmy-winning filmmaker Hiro Murai (who also executive produces), Widow’s Bay mixes character-driven comedy with escalating supernatural horror.
The ensemble cast includes Kate O’Flynn, Stephen Root, Kingston Rumi Southwick, Kevin Carroll, and Dale Dickey, with supporting performances by K Callan and Emmy winner Jeff Hiller.
Production Details
Produced under Apple Studios, the series is executive produced by Dippold alongside Murai’s Chum Films banner, with additional executive producers Carver Karaszewski, Claudia Shin, and Rhys. Murai directs five episodes in the season, joined by directors Ti West, Sam Donovan, and Andrew DeYoung.
Widow’s Bay continues to release new episodes weekly, with its season finale scheduled for June 17, 2026.
