Netflix and Skydance Animation have unveiled the official first trailer and teaser artwork for Ray Gunn, the long-awaited animated feature directed by Oscar-winner Brad Bird. Alongside the dynamic new visuals, the project expanded its voice ensemble with a star-studded cast line-up.
Retro-Futuristic Noir in Metropia
Set in Metropia—a sprawling metropolis designed as an alternate future imagined through the lens of 1939—Ray Gunn follows private investigator Raymond Gunn as he navigates a dangerous web of intrigue involving extraterrestrials, homicide, and multimedia celebrity Venus Nova.
Brad Bird, who conceived the original story, directed the feature and co-wrote the screenplay alongside Matthew Robbins. The film is produced by a team of industry veterans, including John Lasseter, Brad Bird, Lisa Beroud, David Ellison, and Dana Goldberg for Skydance Animation.
