Monday 8 December 2025, London – On Friday 5 December 2025, BAFTA hosted a career retrospective with award-winning actor, director, producer and writer Bradley Cooper. In an in-depth conversation with Edith Bowman, he reflected on his wide-ranging and critically acclaimed body of work.

Six of Bradley Cooper’s films were explored as part of the event, including The Hangover (2009), Silver Linings Playbook (2012), American Sniper (2014), A Star is Born (2018), Maestro (2023), and his upcoming feature, Is This Thing On? (2025).
In 2019, Bradley Cooper was the first to earn BAFTA nominations in five different categories for a single film with his directorial debut, A Star Is Born, winning him his first BAFTA for Original Score and earning eight Academy Award nominations.
He rose to prominence with early television roles and his breakthrough in The Hangover. In 2013, he founded the One Family Foundation to support patients with cancer and their families. That same year, he reached another milestone with his first BAFTA and Oscar nominations as lead actor in David O Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook, later reuniting with the director on American Hustle, which earned further award recognition.
Bradley Cooper expanded his creative scope with Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper, which he produced and starred in, the acclaimed hit Joker, which he produced, and a long- running role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the voice of Rocket Raccoon.
In 2020, he launched the production company Lea Pictures, with credits including his second directorial feature Maestro, which earned further BAFTA nominations for Director, Leading Actor and Original Screenplay. His upcoming feature, Is This Thing On? continues to reinforce his multi-hyphenate trajectory as a leading filmmaker and performer in modern cinema.
