The Story where it all began

People call me a rapper and some an MC. But I like to be addressed as an artist, because the potential of an artist has no boundaries.

I produce, mix, master, engineer, write, record all my music. This was a vision that didn’t exist when I hopped on the plane in 2006, to move to London. Being the curious 10 year old self, I was exploring the options on the in-flight entertainment. When I stumbled onto the top 20 charts, where I heard Akon “smack that” featuring Eminem. When Eminem’s verse came on, I was mind blown. It was so different to anything I have ever heard before, I rewinded it like 3 times in a row. Firstly, because the music video was an definite eye opener for a 10 year old. Secondly, the way he was rapping was out of this world to me and thirdly, I couldn’t understand a word he was saying.

When I got home, I searched up Eminem on the internet and started to back track and study the game. I discovered that Eminem worked with Dr Dre, once I found Dr Dre, I discovered the whole ‘West Coast’ movement because of his affiliation with NWA, Ice T and so on. The beef with Tupac and Biggie, made me bridge over and discover the ‘East Coast’ movement. The Wu-Tang Clan, Big L, Big Pun just to name a few . Finally, over time managing to unearth a whole culture called “Hip Hop” that I never knew existed.

After 7 years of growing with the movement, I decided to embark on my journey to do my part for the culture….
